[Morning- : Because she naturally rises fairly early and never seems groggy, even as a kit]

-sass her back

 Personality:

+Positive -Negative +/-Neutral

+ Optimistic +

There's nothing Morningsun can't overcome! Or that's what she likes to believe. She approaches every obstacle in her path with a grin and solution, and if it doesn't work then she's always got the opportunity to try again. She understands her shortcomings but she believes that effort will ultimately lead to success

+ Charismatic +

She seems to have a knack for getting along with whomever she meets, so long as they're part of Brambleclan. When she speaks, she speaks clearly and draws the attention of her peers and she knows how to word things in the most appealing way possible. Her words are fueled by her deep passion, it can inspire those around her to action where her eloquence, or lack there-of, cannot.

+ Passionate +

As briefly hinted to before, Morningsun is a she-cat of great passion. Her emotions are often the driving force behind her actions and she feels things deeply. She puts her full effort into everything  does, especially if it involves Brambleclan, Her greatest passion.

-

- Rash -

All those social skills and cunning fly out the window when her temper runs or fear takes hold of her. Morningsun reacts quickly- but its often based more on instinct or emotion rather than a well thought out plan. It's a blessing and a curse seeing as how much trouble it can get her into. Gut instinct has greater influence in her actions than logic alone.

- Proud -

Morningsun is proud of herself, her lineage, her clan- her everything. She makes it pretty obvious with the way she carries herself, head held high and chest puffed out. This little warrior gets particularly mouthy around cat's from other clans and likes to brag about the superiority of Brambleclan.

- Impatient -

It comes in two forms, both the usual "I don't like to sit still and wait" sort of impatience and the sort that involves other cats. Morningsun can tolerate younger cats that are still learning. Morningsun can tolerate cats that constantly need direction. Morningsun cannot tolerate cats that don't think quite like she does. Cats with 'live and let be' attitudes or that are satisfied to watch the world go by without participating or, worst of all, cats that are outright lazy grate on her nerves more than anything else.

-

+/- Gregarious -\+

Above all else, she loves to talk. Morningpaw could talk for hours about every little inconsequential thing. It only gets worse the larger her "audience" is. She feeds off the attention of others and actively seeks other cats out to talk to.

+/- Sassy -\+

It's usually in good fun but she is prone  to the occasional spiteful insult. Her tongue is just as sharp as it is silver and it takes someone with thick skin to stick around her for more than a few hours. To some her snarky comebacks and boisterous teasing will be an endless source of amusement.

+/- Idealistic -\+

Morningsun never loss her sense of wonder or the wide-eyed idealism she had as a kit. Sure, it became tempered by her real life experiences but it never fully went away. She sees the world for what it could be, she sees her clan for what it could be, and she pursues that vision tirelessly. Her patience for cats that aren't willing to share or accept that vision is pretty low, however. Morningsun can get wrapped up in her own vision to the point of becoming narrow-minded sometimes she needs a good kick in the tail

 History:

Kithood:

Juniperfall and Owlbark are that couple that has known eachother so long and are so obnoxiously in love that it's almost sickening. The two had been thick as thieves since Juniperfall had been old enough to open her eyes and absolutely no one was surprised when the two became mates shortly after her warrior ceremony. They were together for many moons before they finally decided to have a little of kits all their own. It was an easy pregnancy despite it being her first and they were blessed with a litter of four. Sadly, one was stillborn but the other three were in perfect health. The nursery was a mess as two little tyrants, Pinekit and Morningkit raised havoc. Quietkit was the only one that seemed to be capable of behaving, hence the name she was given for her soft spoken ways. The permanent queens weren't sad to see them, or their overly dotting mother, leave. Morningkit in particular was quite the burr in their fur. She might have lacked Pinekit's more malicious side but she made up for it by waking up at odd hours to drag them into conversations in the middle of the night. As she matured it became evident that her canines were a good bit longer than they should be. Her father proudly declared that it'd make her the best hunter in the clan- and perhaps it could. When the time came for her and her littermates to become -paws she felt oddly content. While her siblings scuttled around with anxious excitement she ssat with a smug grin. She deserved this.

Apprenticeship:

Owlbark practically begged their leader to let him train own of his kits and they granted that wish, giving him the rowdiest of the bunch. His fellow warriors teased him by quoting the old phrase "be careful what you wish for" but Owlbark was far too happy to have the chance to train one of his kits to care. He took every chance he could to train Morningpaw with her siblings so that he could sing their praises all the time. Needless to say, it helped grow all three into confident cats- er- well it groomed Morningpaw and Pinepaw into confident cats. Quietpaw stayed true to her namesake. Her sister rarely left her in peace though and, somewhat against her will, they became very close. Their brother was not quite so Hugs and Kisses in his behavior. Somehow he got it into his head that if coddling wouldn't cure Quietpaw's wallflower ways then tough love would be the key. He berated her often but never did more than cuff her on the ear. Pinepaw even managed to get Morningpaw in on it but female tabby was much more keen when it came to the feelings of others. Once she caught on to the fact that their actions weren't helping, if anything they were making things worse for Quietpaw, she stopped. Morningpaw didn't apologize immediately, too proud and embarassed, but the ever soft hearted Quietpaw forgave her anyways. This was the start of a rift between the siblings that only seemed to grow over time.

Aside from the somewhat tumultuous relationship between Morningpaw and her siblings, Apprenticehood was pretty standard for her. Owlbark bragged constantly about what a 'natural leader' she was as she dragged her friends, and Quietpaw, into trouble. His words were met with eye rolls.

Warriorhood (so far):

Becoming a warrior was everything Morningpaw ever wanted well aside from becoming leader as she insisted was her destiny. Pinepaw, named Pineclaw, received his warrior name at the same time she did. Morningsun. Her new name filled her with a new fire, pun intended, and a renewed passion to serve her clan. She would be a light for her clan! She would help them grow! She would light a fire under their collective tails if that's what it took to get them moving. Sadly, Quietpaw was still just Quietpaw. Her mentor and the leader at the time felt that a few more moons of training would do the shadowy she-cat some good. While Pineclaw was... his usual self about Quietpaw being held back, Morningsun did her best to encourage their sister. She went so far as to take Quietpaw under her metaphorical wing. The tabby spent her free time every day helping her train and drowning her in advice- whether she asked for it or not. Whenever Morningsun went patrolling with her fellow warriors and friends she dragged her wallflower of a sister along. For a time it seemed to work. Quietpaw did show a great deal of improvement! On the flip-side, it also started to put some strain on the relationship between the two sisters. Within a moon she received her warrior name, finally. She was aptly named Quietfoot and she put her "quiet feet" to good use- avoiding Morningsun. It was easier now that the nosy warrior wasn't trying to help her train, however, it led to her missing out quite a it on her warrior duties. Pineclaw took notice. His well-intentioned teasing returned full force, now with a little extra bite to it. One quality he and Morningsun was their shared passion for serving Brambleclan. Seeing Quietfoot "slacking off" put a real prickle in his pelt and as a result his barbs became a lot less friendly. Soon the inky she-cat was almost never seen in camp. When Morningsun noticed she sought her sister out- leading to a heated argument between the two brown tabby siblings that bordered on violence. Sometime in the following week Quietfoot just disappeared. Her scent faded into the Neutral Ground and then faded into nothing. It was the first real loss Morningsun ever experienced and it wounded her in more ways than she cared to admit. Quietfoot was, for all intents and purposes, a traitor to Brambleclan now. She'd left. She'd just- left. The tabby warrior couldn't decide if she was angry with her for leaving or angry at Pineclaw for driving her away or angry at herself for not noticing the distance that had grown between them sooner. Still, Morningsun didn't refused to let herself drown in her sorrows. In time she got back on her own paws and returned to her duties.

Speaking of duties, the way she'd helped her sister grow as a warrior didn't go unnoticed and a few moons later she was granted her first real apprentice. Robinpaw was a soft spoken little thing. His personality reminded her so much of her sister that it almost gave her vertigo. I guess Ole Leaderpants felt like she'd be a good match for him... or they wanted her to hurry up and stop pining for Quietfoot, either way. She did her best to put into practice what she'd learned from teaching her sister. Morningsun was diligent in training him but gentle when it came to trying to draw him out of his shell. In the end Robinpaw bonded with her more deeply than any of his fellow apprentices and he did help fill the void left by her sister. However she still wanted him to learn to function without her there! Once he was finally ready, she sent Robinpaw off on a patrol with some other apprentices and whatever warriors chose to lead them. It was during one of these that tragedy struck. Robinpaw fought valiantly along side his clanmates and, in the end, they succeeded in driving off the fox that decided to try and make a meal out of their small hunting party. The only casualty was Robinpaw himself. The wounds he received took their toll in the rush back to camp. Morningsun was heartbroken- even more so than she had been when Quietfoot left. Robinpaw would never see his warrior ceremony, though he was granted the name Robinflight even as he joined his ancestors among the stars. The guilt she felt at his loss was a huge blow. She felt responsible for his death even if it was outside her control. She couldn't help but wonder if events would have turned out differently had she been there to help him. Morningsun grieved for nearly a full moon until her brother, prickly and blunt as ever, goaded her back on her feet. He called her 'Mourningsun' among some other less gentle names. It took a long talk between the two of them to fully repair the damage they'd done to their relationship but in the end he was the one to help her get back on her paws.

She worked hard for the several moons. The tragedies of Quietfoot and Robinflight helped her grow a great deal and it showed in the way she regarded her clanmates. In time her skill in dealing with the needs of the clan and guiding her clanmates caught the eye of Brambleclan's leader. Morningsun became the deputy of Brambleclan less than a moon ago. The molly has done well adapting to her role now if only she could stop puffing up with pride every time it was mentioned.
