He gets into a fight with Jameson's son who was bonded with the Carnage symbiote. It detaches from Jameson and wraps itself around Ben Riley during the fight and he becomes Spider-Carnage.
In the 90's TV series, the Peter Parker in Ben Riley's universe becomes evil and it attracts the carnage symbiote from another dimension during an opening of an interdimensional rift.

I could have sworn Spider-Carnage was one of a bunch of alter demensinalversions of Peter. Yeah, there was a spider-man with doc ock's tentacles, and one with six arms, and a super buff spider. They were all there to try and stop spider-carnage.

Yep,I remember them. Ben Reilly,the Clone of Spider-Man,was possessed by Carnage,the Alternate Reality Spider Men were sent to try and stop him since Peter wasn't strong enough alone.

I think Carnage left Cassidy cause he was dying or something,its been a while since I've read that particular comic or seen the episode of the cartoon from the 90's based off of it.
