I really like how well this picture came together. I adore the lineless-ness of the picture and how it's done in an oil-painted kind of way. The overall picture gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside, although the sunlight seems quite cut off at the second circle thingie, if that makes any sense. o:

I personally can't see DD material in this. The colors are "great" because they're all fiery? And you associated summer with heat, and heat with fire... that doesn't really take a creative genius to come up with. I'd like to see someone make a summer picture with blues and greens.
As for the emaciated look... I guess jutting bones are "in" these days.
I also don't quite understand why the... fire? is burning upside down.
