Description Weeeeelll, this was . . . interesting, to say the least. /8 I decided I wanted to draw this one 1920's era dress in this book I own . . . on a flapper girl . . . and this happened. Originally I was just playing around with poses, and then I decided I'd try and make her look like she was dancing all cool-like, and when I finished the rough it looked like she was just . . . drunk. Which is technically still appropriate, I guess, but not exactly what I was trying for . . . now that I've fixed it up a bit, though, I think she looks a little more like Belle with her eyes closed when the Beast is about to show her the library. Which is . . . fine, I suppose. I realized I haven't attempted to draw real hands (not partially covered by ANYTHING) in forever. And I've never drawn anyone's head from that perspective before. And I've never drawn that hairdo before, but somehow I actually got that on the first time. (and luckily, the style covered her ears. XD) Also, this is the first time that I've ever managed to draw someone with their eyes closed without making their eyelids look like spaced out voids that are about to suck out your soul. O>O Basically, this was a "Let's draw all the things Autumn sucks at drawing!!!"-sketch. DX There were so many mistakes in this when I finished the rough sketch, and it took me so long to fix them that I didn't have time left to fix much left. I finally just had to accept that it's not gonna get much better. (Yeah, her legs were supposed to be pointed in, but I think I over exaggerated . . . sigh . . .)

I do like how the dress turned out, though. The pattern was fun.

I am basically doing a personalized 52 week project to improve my artistic ability. This should be interesting, considering I have issues finishing things. I guess that also makes it a project to help improve my self-motivational skills, if there are such things. The title is German for "The Second Book" because this is the second book I have ever bound, the first being a poetry book I made for an English class. => [link]
