The sunlight on the colors together with the angles make this shot fun, and the viewer can even imagine him/herself sitting there, waiting for enchiladas and rice and beans to arrive.
Well done!

Many people I know are working two jobs. They're all working themselves into an early grave. I have one friend working three.

There's always somebody out there with a big sign, advertising another restaurant across the street. There's plenty of traffic, and a bus stop right in front.
Thank you.

Don't get me wrong, James - I love this photo, but I'm not sure about the salt cellar. I think I would have left it out.
Still a great pic though!

I tried several different angles and exposures, and tried it without the salt shaker and ended up with the first pic I snapped. Somehow it adds something.
Thank you very much.

Makes me think of "there goes rhymin' Simon"! Just because one can rhyme does not render one poetic! Oh, if it were just that easy...!

Thank you. Tell me what you think, maybe a bit of Edward Hopper?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
DouglasHumphries In reply to hoaxeye [2010-10-10 17:26:44 +0000 UTC]
..yes - a 'bit' Hopperish - but Hopper was more soft and loose - this is vivid and hard - however I do see the connection .... I think it's a crime that this has only a few views - but that's DA for you ... this is an excellent piece !

Thank you very much. You're right of course, the light in New England is different. Out here it's vivid, hard," as well as harsh and unforgiving. Not sure if it's a crime exactly, but I appreciate the sentiment.
I'm not much of a "schmoozer". When my kid had my password, he joined me in two clubs. His heart was in the right place, but I haven't posted anything to them. Maybe I should.
