Thanks! Glad you like it, it took a long time because of those durn tiny anatomical details (which I still largely glossed over), though I'm happy with how it turned out. As per what's real: I totally agree. Between stories like Waking Life, Inception and the Matrix, as well as pretty much anything by Philip K. Dick, it's getting damn difficult for me to go through life with a decent grasp on whatever our present existence is/means/should-be/can-be/etc!

Absolutely. Agreed.the foot is intense it looks unreal, made of many different components, reminds me of our increasing knowledge of things and the gap between what we know exists and what exists.

i guess this sounds slightly weird but there is a technology to the foot and an unreality and it reminds me modernity in some ways. The other foot should be adressed as well, to me it has a very primitive quality to it which reminds me of the peasants who plodded through life as through cycles, never changing for thousands of years, but just living off of the grease of the earth. How did they view the foot? very much like the one on the left--bone to bone, tough and dependable. The difference between the two feet is a vision of the future i guess

Thanks for the wonderful back-and-forth! It's funny when you take a step back and say we're just talking about feet, but everything you said makes perfect sense. Seeing human anatomy in various stages of development definately reminds me of machines; unimaginably complex bio-mechanical masses of muscle, bone, sinew and everything else, encasing an essence of which our primitive brains have not been able to scientifically discern. Thanks again for reminding me how even the simplest assignment can become a metaphor for the whole of human existence!
