Here's the face/head of the pattern (modified from BabyLondonStar's Sit pattern) I use to make my turian plushies. As I am an enormous fan of Bioware's excellent Mass Effect series of games, making plush of my favorite aliens was an eventuality. So far, this pattern has provided the face for my Garrus plushie. I had to alter it quite a bit to make Saren: alterations may be necessary depending on the turian in question.Left to right, top to bottom: face side (x2), face, head side (x2), headplate, nose (x3), browplate (x2), cheekplate, chin, mandible (x4), chinplate
Depending on how much horizontal stretch your fabric has, you may want to make the brow&headplates a little smaller. Cut just one fullsize nose- the two others go under it, so you can skimp a little on the non-nostrilly parts. Sew the face, side face, side head and chin together like on a normal human pattern. out of curiousity (because im having some dificulty decoding this) the chin and the chinplate are sown together, and are the head sides sown on the back of the head, or in what relation to the other parts? and the three face parts go together and create a type of 'head' underneeth turian face, correct? if you could show how the peices assemble together somehow that might be helpful, im kinda lost on some of the parts

I'm working on a tutorial for this... I just haven't gotten around to finishing it yet.
Think of turians as having a humanoid head with a mask of plates on top.
Build a head for the plates to go on by sewing together the face, chin, face sides and back of head pieces. These pieces will go together just like the original "Sit" pattern that I used as a jumping off-point. Look up BabyLondonStar's tutorial, and that should help.
The plate pieces get sewn on (or even glued on- hot glue is amazingly useful) after you have the main head pieces totally sewn together and stuffed.

When you did the head did you just make it in a sphere?

Fully stuffed, it's gonna look a bit like a sphere, but with a slightly flattened surface where the face is. Β Remember that it'll look best if the face-piece is cut from black instead of the skin tone of your turian- it's going to show through at the eyes and the gaps in the mandibles.

You're welcome! I put these up here because I figured other insane Mass Effect fans have the right to have adorable plushes of their favorite characters too, and making/altering patterns is hard enough that it stop a lot of people from doing it.
