So humans can no longer claim to be the only animals that use fire. Huh.

That is an amazing behaviour, and this is an amazing capture of it.
For some reason the idea of giant raptors using fire like this makes me think, "huh, maybe the folks who though dinosaurs were dragons are on to something here..." : )p

If the corvids start doing this, we're fucked as a species. I, for one, welcome our new avian overlords.

That moment when you realise birds were using fire probably millions of years before the whole "man created fire" thing started.

So if some birds of prey know how to use fire, what's stoping them from ruling the planet and wiping out humans?

The birds know of the true danger of the Red Flower and choose to use it only to hunt, not destroy.

I'm not stupid. That even a mammoth would be scared and no match for fire should come as a surprise to no one. It certainly didn't come as a surprise to me. It's just that when something can easily scare and destroy something that itself is very formidable, you tend to want to point it out.

...Good point....also since you're here....can you tell me what Vete a la meirda means....I heard that word in a movie so I asked my Spanish teacher what that meant and she just said "something very bad" and it's been haunting me for four years....care to tell me since so speak pretty fluent Spanish?....Por Favor mi amor?

"Vete a la mierda" literally means "Go to the shit". It's sort of an equivalent to "go fuck yourself", and a little more crass than say, "vete al infierno" (go to hell).
Oh and don´t call me mi amor XD

Oh 0_0 XD, if someone told me to "Go to the shit" I would be like, you want me to go to the bathroom? another thing, according to my Spanish Teacher, there's another cuss word in Spanish that sounds similar to the English word church but I could never figure out what it was, you have any idea what it is?
XD, I knew i'd get a reaction out of it also, it rhymed

HodariNundu In reply to PerfectChaos22 [2017-07-07 04:40:53 +0000 UTC]
I can´t think of any... unless your teacher meant to say it starts with a "ch" as in "church", then it could be "chingar" which in Mexico means "to fuck" ("joder" also means to fuck but is somewhat less crass).
So if you tell someone "vete a la chingada" that's pretty much "go fuck yourself", and if someone tells you "chinga a tu madre" that's about the worst thing they can say, means "go fuck your mother".
Also there are words that are derived from it and have different meanings, such as "chingón", which means someone or something is very good, or a badass, or "un chingo" means "a lot, a shitload". Curiously, "chingando" is very rarely used in a sexual context; instead, when someone tells you "no estés chingando", they mean "stop being so annoying" (mind you, it's not a word you want to use unless you want to come across as rude or hostile )

It's so fun learning vulgar language in other languages, hopefully I won't have to use these words in any scenario, unless someone really brings out the devil in me, can't say the same about you, you seem to know your vulgar pretty well XD, either you've got a tongue for it or you had these words said to you, or maybe a combination of both
Also if you're from Mexico, who taught you English, school?

Wow you taught yourself, that's really impressive, was it easy, I imagine learning English wouldn't be that hard
We're both in the same boat, my parents had some foul mouths themselves and they said a lot of words I shouldn't repeat, we African Americans tend to cuss ALOT infront of our kids and use the threat of violence if they were to repeat those words

My parents well, least my mom has a temper and it's often expressed through language, it didn't traumatize me after a while you just get used to it. Oh yeah school is just a hotspot for learning about all sorts of nasty things, It's disturbing how much sexual stuff a 6th grader knows about, I remember in the 6th Grade, our teacher let my class watch Wrong Turn 2, a movie that had people's head getting chopped in 2, several sex scenes and just LOTS of gore, essentially inbred cannibals killing and eating people in the woods, NOT appropriate for a school I'll tell ya but, nobody complained, it was better than doing school work I guess
Also as I said before, really impressive how you taught yourself English, most people can't teach themselves a different language, you could be an English teacher if you really wanted to
