A coastal tyrannosaurid Paraliarpax roams the coast searching for carrion, fish, mollusks, giant sea worms... anything to satisfy its eternal hunger.
Inspired by remains of what appears to have been a tyrannosaur slightly smaller than T. rex, found by accident in Washington USA during a search for Cretaceous shells. The truth is, the remains are extremely fragmentary and the animal may just as well have been a "classic" tyrannosaur or a bizarre creature we can´t even imagine. Both the appearance and the name of Paraliarpax are my ideas, but I wouldn´t be surprised if such a creature had existed at some point of the Mesozoic.
Thanks to for letting me know about the Washington tyrannosaur.

They're meant to look weird. I based the skull on Eustreptospondylus and the lower jaw on a sperm whale

So there was a tyrannosaur in Washington? I always knew they could be out there, but Wikipedia states that no dinosaur fossils are known from Washington.

It's a femur. Look up "The First Dinosaur from Washington State and a Review of Pacific Coast Dinosaurs from North America".

Oh yeah, I managed to find it. Anyways, cool discovery. Also, never mind about Wikipedia; it now says only one dinosaur has been in Washington.
