Gakupo! OH MY GOD I LOVE GAKUPO. I kind of missed the whole Vocaloid craze from a couple years ago, because I have an aversion to anything with a crazy following but man I can listen to Dancing Samurai all day long. Also probably has something to do with the fact that it’s Gackt, heh.I drew this last August, I was so proud of myself because I did a background and I hate drawing backgrounds. They are so difficult! His eyes bug me now, I was trying to draw them like Abel Nightroad’s and it didn’t really work. At all.

I made this a looong time ago! It took me about a month, I used to spend hours on it every day. Back then I didn't really know what I was doing at all, so it was just trial and error. I had to go back and fix a lot!
Nowadays, a picture like this would probably take me about a week to complete. I still take a long time to paint things, but I'm getting better!

Agreed I just spent 5 hours hunting down the best images of him and i got nearly a hundred of them in my personal folder now including yours :3 i love making him my desktop image but i grow tired of all the same stuff so i made sure i got a great variety

I used Paint Tool SAI for this one! I think I was using about fifty different layers (I don't use quite as many anymore, thankfully!) Lots of Multiply and Overlay layers in there.
