I'm guessing you're already aware of Enkaustikos' and R&F's pigmented beeswax but others reading your tutorial might not be.
If you have a stand-alone pancake griddle or heat gun you can mix the pigmented beeswax with natural hair brushes (don't use synthetics - the heat will melt the hair) like traditional paints for an endless array of colors.
I just started a DA group a few days ago for Encaustic artists (EncausticsInternational) and there is a category for mixed-media and collage encaustic artists. Anyone using beeswax is welcome to join and submit their artwork. Submission approval is set to automatic. [I've commissioned a digital artist to create the group's avatar. He's still busy working on it at the time of this note.]

This group sounds great, but I can't find it on dA - do you have a link?

Sounds easy enough! Thanks for the tutorial!

Totally easy, and cheaper than "real" encaustic. You can even use ordinary candle wax if you can't get hold of beeswax.

Enjoy! If you use your household iron, you can protect it for future laundry purposes by ironing through brown paper or baking paper.

You can put an entire collage together using wax rather than glue - creates a great effect.
