Thanks - it was a lucky coincidence - the original was in shades of gray, but my inkjet printer was running out of ink, so it messed up the colours!

The technique was developed (as so many are!) as a work-around. I have limited drawing / painting skills and can't always get the effects I visualise in my mind because my hands just won't execute them well enough. So in the middle of the night I had an Aha about how to cheat my way around the obstacle!

Same problem arose with me recently with creating movement and surge in a water fall. Ever use black glitter glue? Came from you line of reasoning, above!
