Description
Model: ErinI'm submitting this as a print... I never got into the habit of selling prints of the photos I've taken because I don't think they're good enough, so I'll use this as an experiment ^_^

She has done Glamour Shots before... they hung her photo on the wall too... they also wanted to send some off to a modeling agency. I fought them on that one... my model only

I have to concur with the repeated comments that your model is quite lovely. It's strange to see so many people saying "Curves! Curves! Huzzah!" and yet scandalously scrawny models are still ever-so-popular. I don't quite understand the fascination with the wasted heroin-junkie look.
Another big plus for the picture is that she's smiling... So many pictures on dA of women seem to bear these dour, mopey, insufferably-Goth expressions. This expression is so much more pleasant, as though she's remembering a nice dream.
As for the photograph itself, I love the lighting and contrast. Stark black and white colors in an image are always a big plus.

I think DA caters to the more... "deviant" crowd... people outside the sterotypical "norm". So pop culture reality has people lusting after the wasted heroin junkie look.
I read about an interesting case study... that in early times, women with curves were more attractive for the sexual procreation point of view - boobs and hips meant they were better at giving birth to healthy children. In modern times, as men grow up, they DON'T want to have children and raise a family... this paradigm shift in bachelors makes a similar shift in women. As a result, men now want women with more firm boobs and less body fat... both factors in with the uber skinny model.
Anyway, I just wanted to say I love your sig. GitS:SAC rules the free world. And many small communist states. =}

Hence the rounder shapes of classical statues, or even further back, of the prehistoric "Venus" statues that have been discovered- almost vase like forms with wide hips and narrow shoulders. In my personal opinion, I just don't find protruding pelvic bones and ribcages to be sexually appealing. They just make the woman look fragile in a very non-attractive way, and also look like sex with one of these emaciated models would simply lead to nasty bruises.
And you're the first person to notice my GitS:SAC signature. Even fans of the series don't notice it's GitS related because they failed to notice "Run Rabbit Junk" playing at any time. Previously, my signature was "What I thought I would do was, I would pretend to be one of those deaf-mutes." but it wasn't obscure enough for my tastes.

Yeah... I also hate when they cast super model type girls to play secret agents or super heroic characters in TV and movies... and they're uber skinny. Not muscled though. And they can't even make a fist or a fighting pose worth beans but they can wear a swimsuit and prance around. I keep thinking if they punched something, they'd break their fists... as well as their nails.
Yeah, I love that song... I wish I could remember all the lyrics though. I looked them up on animelyrics.com and they're really neat =}

The angle makes her right arm look a little out of proportion small, which is strange but I didn't even notice it until I'd looked at the pic for awhile. Great work, though, both of them. I like the other one because it looks so perfectly posed, and this one because it looks really natural.
Speaking of posing, we haven't really talked about if you wanted to do anything when I'm down for Ushicon! Send me a line.

I wasn't sure if you were up for anything at Ushi =} I have an idea I wanna try that doesn't involve paint, plaster, crisco, glue, or anything messy... just simple photography and a bunch of neat ideas =} It's just a matter of when would be best for you since you don't know your schedule and you'll be probably pretty busy. I don't wanna kidnap you for too long but I don't think it'll take more than an hour if you were up for something ^_^
