The second in my set of blacklight bodypainting... this time I borrowed my friend's camera and tried the photos myself. Apparently, I'm not as awesome l33t as he is, but then again, this was my first time using the camera. ^_^

This is Genbu, the turtle spirit. It's supposed to be "black" but black turtles don't show up in blacklight, so I made it green across the ocean of blue. I also gave her pink spots, like turtle spots.

The colors on the arms and face are nice... but the back and front don't say turtle. They say bird more then anything. This saddens me. Its a lovely job, do not get me wrong, but its not turtle. Turtle is more, well, angles and shapes, instead of flowing.

I was hoping to do 2 more, to finish out the set... phoenix, turtle, dragon, and tiger... Suzaku, Genbu, Seiryu, and Byakko. Ah well, hopefully someday when I get the energy to pursue 2 more models.

Thanks! I'm really liking how the black light shoots are going... this is my second one since I revamped my studio. They're still not photographing as well as I would like, but I gotta practice in order to make sure the photography matches the actual painting ^_^

Thanks ^_^ I was waiting for a contractor to come in and install a fence and replace my flooring from the flooding from last year... but they were taking so long, so I figured, what the heck. I won't let it stop me until I know for certain they're coming in to install stuff.

Thanks, I added it to the first one, didn't think about it until you mentioned it. I'm never sure what counts since you really can't see anything in the blacklight photos. Do you think I should add it to the other 3?

I try not to shake the boat too much. I hate people who whine and bitch when they're effectively using someone else's service. I run my own website and on it, I can do whatever I want. This is DA's site, they make the rules.
