I'm really glad you like it. And thanks again for all the info on Ireland. I'll be in Dublin on Sunday! And in Sligo on Thursday. I'm so psyched!

I wanted to go back to Newgrange (and Knowth as well, as last time I could only visit Newgrange), but I won't have time this time. But in March, I'll definitely discover the Boyne Valley for myself.

I'm writing from Cambridge now. Flew here today from Dublin. On Wednesday we're going back to Dublin, and from Thursday: Sligo.

There are tons to see there! You should walk up the Garavogue river, which is the shortest in Ireland.
The pubs called Shoot the Crows (Shoots) and Fureys are the best, you should check them out.
There are a lot of things connected to Yeats - eg his grave.
My favourite ones are the megalithic cemeteries. They are everywhere. The biggest and oldest is Carrowmore. Breathtaking.
Nature is also amazing: The Horseshoe is a must.
That's what I can think of now, but this is not the full list.

Ah I have heard of Carrowmore, Ireland is litered with neglected and forgotten Megalithic cementaries, its I suppose one of the best things about ireland in some ways and worst in others, good in the sense that you can just happen accross something like that that has stood for thousands of years, bad in the sense that there is nothing written about it there, so you would have to look it up elsewhere to know more. Yeats I knew was from Sligo, didnt know they had so many things about him up there but would make sense, he is a very famous writer it seems.

I will keep this horseshoe place in a list of things to see then, its miles long at this stage, there are so many things I would like to see in this country, Sligo can be a pain to get to from down this far south. Nice to hear you enjoyed it so much tho!

You are absolutely right. Not to mention that even though that there may be some written stuff about these things, they are usually just guesses. For example, no one actually knows what Newgrange was. I'm not particularly fond of the tomb theory.

When you make it to Sligo, let me know.

Why what do u think newgrange is or was? I am always interested in hearing peoples ideas to these things.

And sure if im ever in that part of ireland ill let u know
