Sunsets are EVIL to colour. I hate them. If I can help it I'm never doing another sunset page EVER AGIN.I don't know if you can tell that I wasted seven hours of my life colouring this piece but I did, hence why I didn't manage to get this uploaded yesterday.
I still have two more pages to do today to keep me on schedule. Yeah. I'm so angry with this page that I'm thinking it probably won't happen - especially since it'll still be sunset in the next page.
DAMN IT.
Anyways, I'd especially like comments on this piece because it took like so long and I'm so angry with it. Yeah. Let me know if you like it. If you don't, I don't blame you because I HATE IT. (Again with the hate... lol)

I actually am really fond of the last panel with Paul and the sunset from the glass! Though uhh... what happened to his treasure trail? He had it in one page and now doesn't =/

No, really I just missed it off. I think my favourite panel is the big one in the middle with the panoramic view of the deck. Took HOURS.

I do like it much better now that I've finished it and look back and reflected on it. I just hated that it took so long and was so frustrating.

I do love the design of the clouds I've adopted actually, I never used to draw them like this until I started this comic... They're kinda stylized. I think it suits the mood of the piece...

Yeah, I think it's with wearing white - makes everyone look bigger. His arms etc are actually the same size, just the colours are more flattering I think... I dunno, I thought he looked good in blue

I'd have to agree with Stuart, you really brought out Paul's radiance in the last panel. The coloring on it and the rest of the page is magnificent! Please keep them coming!

I like the finished page actually, I just resent it because of the sheer amount of time I had to spend on it. The lineart alone was exhausting with all the ship details in panel 3 (the widescreen one) and all the background details in the other panels. Not to mention the colouring - the last panel has to be some of the most complicated, complex colouring I've ever done on Photoshop, I think there's around ten layers just in that one panel including shadows and highlights and reflections and stuff... Nightmare. Why did I have to stand Paul in front of a pair of glass doors? Oh yeah, I remember now, because I thought the reflection of the sun behind him would make him look like an angel. Which it does. But was ever so hard to accomplish.

Thank you, yeah I thought I should make it a little more romanticised after the filthiness of the last couple of pages. I like pastel colours, but it was so hard to pull it off. At least someone likes it I guess!
