For a Soul Eater meme (here -> [link] ), I had to design a fan character for myself. I don't usually make OCs; I'd rather use that energy to make my own characters for my own creations. But the meme asked for a character for myself and what the character's goal would be.

I would be a witch who would dream to be the next classic fairy tale witch. Unfortunately...I couldn't really fit that goal into the meme; only my character and a few others would fit.

This is the whole shebang. No original line art; I did a sketchy scribble and then pen tooled this one completely in Photoshop...rushed and experimental. I learned a few things. I played with a bunch of brushes and patterns like on my QuickSteppers artwork, but also did all the linework by pen tool. I also decided to stick all those higanbana in, the Japanese name for the type of "spider lily" that is suppose to be a bad omen of death. A morbid joke on my part in this image.

This is an elaborate Medieval joke where I forced the Soul Eater kids (plus Spirit) into fairy tale roles (with Black Star being randomly a Japanese oni, despite the fact that everyone else is decked out in European fashioned clothes ) I hope it at least makes you chuckle. This is like the third time I've taken characters from a series and stuck them in a Medieval situation, and only the second time I've actually drawn it. I did one for Phoenix Wright also, but only did costume designs and never executed the actual image joke.

btw, the other witch on the top of the tower is *mgs904 's fan character for the Soul Eater meme. I'm the witch in the middle, grinning maniacally.

Excalibur - is himself. He fits in this environment. He is awesome and would add to the havoc.
