Another entry for the contest at Yay!This is fanart for a rather unknown manga by Osamu Tezuka, at least...unknown by most English speakers.
MW is a pretty twisted manga, but like most of Tezuka's works, I found myself unable to put it down once I started reading it. Messed up stuff, and a manga that shows evil at its purest. It's most certainly not a manga for the easily offended or children.
These are the two main characters from the manga, Michio Yuki, a truly disturbing character, a social climbing banker and meddler of politics...and the one man who's closest to him, but who tries desperately to stop him, the Catholic priest, Iwao Garai.
Anyhoo...I need to sleep, or continue brainstorming about what the subject matter of my next print project that I will start tomorrow.

Such a great manga, and so groundbreaking for the time period.

Yuki looks astounding. I especially like the up-turned collar on the jacket, it almost makes him look vampire-esque, and rightfully so. I was always convinced that Rock's performance in Alabaster was the most evil and deranged role any Tezuka character had ever played, but Yuki tops the list. For serious.

Do you know Naoki Urasawa's anime/manga series, Monster? The antagonist, Johan Liebert, has characteristics that matches Yuki.

I adored MW, it really is a must have read for....well everyone, I couldn't put it down either, I bought it on a whim and I really think it was the best whim ever!! Great picture!! Glad to see some MW stuff on DA!!
