Description

With the opening of the new region through the Forgotten Caverns, something else was released into a region. A Corrupted. Unlike Solistica, that has the Mysterious Portal and constantly deals with Corrupted, the Pokemon here do not know what to do. It is the job of the Adventurers of Aethervale to surpress this Pokemon and take it back to Shimmerhold.

Here we find our Corrupted, in Chambery Forest, not far from the Forgotten Caverns, bullying a small family of Applin. Your job is to save the family and fight off the Corrupted. Those who are ready for battle should step forward.

A cold chill consumed her body, a ring sounded throughout her head as she looked outwards. The sky was dark, she could here a faint roll of thunder despite the noise in her head. Was that who knocked her backwards? Was that what a corrupted Pokémon looked like.

Why do they look so familiar?

She could hear the faint cries of her teammates over the pounding in her head. Lilith extended a paw to feel the snow sink beneath her paw, reassuring that she was not just some disembodied spectator watching the fight in front of her. She pushed herself back onto her feet, shivering as a sudden cold wind blew through her dark fur, pulling on the smoke which rose from her. Lilith couldn't help but stare at the mesh of black with beady red eyes, turning to attack her friends.

Is this what I really look like?

The fog from her eyes began to clear, the ringing slowly ceasing. She felt her gaze harden at the sight. Oh, how she loathed it. Her smoke grew thick and tall as a sense of anger began to churn within her, snow melted beneath her paws. A white gleam began to surround her. Rays of white light emitted from her body as she felt her anger manifest into reality. Blindly, she surged forward.

"Misha! Be careful!" Belle called to the young adventurer, flinching backwards as the Wigglytuff turned their attention to them, throwing a harsh attack at them and knocking the Bunalts into a nearby pine tree. "Misha!" Belle called again, throwing another Ice Shard at the Corrupted before dashing towards Misha. She protectively covered them with her tails, raising their head to rest on her warm fur instead of the snow. Belle stroked their fur as Misha weeped in pain and turned towards Belle, holding onto her coat. Belle's ears turned back, pouting at the sight, she wasn't sure how to handle this. She heard a fwoosh and turned to look at Kaaru daringly sending in another Pyro Ball into the Wigglytuff, but was she landed she seemed distracted by something--a bright light illuminating their face.

A ball of white light descended down a hill, and once it unraveled it revealed a dark delta quilava. Kaaru let out a roar of excitement, Belle watching on with an opened mouth. "Lilith evolved..." she quietly muttered to herself, subconsciously holding Misha closer to her body. Lilith was now a richer black, the moonlight reflecting a deep blue onto her coat. Now not grainy as it was once was, her smoke was as dark and profound as a starless night, threatening to consume whatever it touched. Oh, and her eyes. Belle held her breathe. They were now pools of vibrant red, not daring to give away what thoughts lied between them. The Wigglytuff hadn't corrupted her, had it?

Lilith's brows furrowed as the Wigglytuff turned to face her, a grin void of sentience taunting her vary existence. Lilith became nothing more than a blur, landing a solid Quick Attack into the Corrupted's gut. It stumbled backwards, staring vacantly at the quilava before turning around and slowly hobbling away, perhaps stunned from the blinding evolution it witnessed. Lilith felt a sense of ease return to her as that thing walked away. Taking in a fresh breath of cold air as she turned to her teammates, Kaaru chirping and running over to nuzzle into Lilith, proud of her evolution!

Lilith glanced over at Belle and Misha, the Bunalts crying coming to a stop, wide, purple eyes staring Lilith down. Misha looked to Belle, muttering something under their breathe. Belle seemed shocked at the little one's words, shaking her head and helping them back onto their feet.

Lilith could feel her stomach drop. That nasty ringing returned.

Are they scared of me?

"Lilith,"

Were they right to fear me? Hurt me? I'd think I was Corrupted if I saw me too.

"Lily--"

Lilith glanced back to Belle--who was now standing in front of her.

"Are you alright?" A small smile formed on Belle's maw,"I'm...very proud that you evolved, you look beautiful." Misha shyly nodded in agreement.

Lilith stared at them for a moment, then looked to the horizon. For miles there was a blanket of snow, a deep sea of never ending frost. They better start walking back.

She ate that horrible feeling churning in her gut. "I'm great! Ah! I'm so excited to show everyone back at the guild, let's get moving!" She smiled, leading the team back with a pep in her step.
