Thanks for reminding me of a great song. And what a wonderful piece of work with which to do it. Absolutely beautiful, as ever. Great lighting and contrast, and the black and white just gives so much feeling. Love it...

Really good Hollowspots. You are enjoying this aren't you?!! Ok, only one criticism on this one and that is that if it were me taking (or processing) this photo, I would have put a spark of light in your right eye as well.
The really good things about this photo are:
1. Lighting - Excellent contrast between the light and dark, and, also the dark on the left side of your face and the not so dark on the right side of your face. You have cleverly left it so that you can still see the other side of your face.. well done - gives you shape.
2. Your having let the lace cover the lower part of your gorgeous chin. This really works well. Any regular photographer would have gone to great lengths to try and get the whole face in. You have risen above and beyond that.
3. The expression. Perfect. I can't work out if you are looking longingly at me, or sad, or concerned about something.. it is for me (the onlooker) to make up my mind.
4. This is the best bit I think - the fact that you left just a small hint of your neck showing. Perfection. That alone gives the image a depth which would have been totally lost otherwise.
I shall, in a moment, add this to my favourites. What a pity we cannot select our favourite favourites, because this would be my favourite favourite!!
