Why do you say you love me
But show me I'm a whisper in your noise every day
Why do you keep me around
close enough to see
but far enough you don't have to touch
Why do you still call my name
When MY love just doesn't mean that much
Why is everything seperate
when it's one we were trying to be
Why am I always the one you blaime
when I'm the only one on bended knee
Why can't you have that same look
when the light of love was in your eye
Why can't you just show me it again
but you probably will the day I die
Why can't you remember wanting this bad
all you can remember is every thing sad
Why can't you shit or get off the pot
come on my love, help me tie this knot
Why can't I be special, like a usefull tool
instead of someone stupid, talked to like a fool
Why can't you understand me anymore
when I take my distance you think I want some younger whore
Why can't things stay peaceful the way we both know they should
I can't believe my dark past could ever look this good
Why can't you love me till I at last close my eyes
instead of helping life show me there's only regret and dispise
