Description I do not know where it came from or how it ever began.
It dropped hot and red
Like the burning of my bare feet on the sun scorched sand

I tell myself to run, just run far away
Clutched by its talons as an owl to its prey

Have I forgotten the news, have I left behind all the facts?
Was it just curiosity?
That killed all the cats??

When the rooftop leaks
Water creeps right in
Ripping my conscious
And drenching my skin

‘Trust me it’s good’
Screams come from outside my door
Mouthed by my friends
They say they’re so sure.

Weaker and weaker, it’ll take its control
If I embrace this.
It will bury my soul.
