As Ash asked slyly implying his bike was better than hers.

Introduction:
*Misty was just exiting the Pallet Town Mart, grabbing a few items and headed back to where she came from. Just in the nick of time, her long time best friend drives up on his loud but exciting set of wheels. Misty taking a few looks just to make sure she is seeing what she is seeing. The conversation is light at first, however Ash now has a more cocky attitude now that he's 20 and can get to his destination much quicker. Misty is still in shock but can sense his attitude about his precious metal. He asks her why she is in town much to his surprise and hasn't quite put two and two together.

Misty's face goes a little red honestly telling him her reason for being in Pallet, however the answer doesn't go unnoticed.

"I'm actually picking up a few things for your mom."

"MY Mom?"

"Y-es!"

"When did....I mean....What are you-?"

*Before Ash could continue his question Misty interrupts* "For YOUR information, I spend time with your mom!" *blushing deeper with her face turned away*

"She is getting older Ash and maybe needs another woman to talk to, she probably gets lonely."

Now it's Ash's turn to find the situation a little unbearable but tries to quickly interject with a snide comment before he himself makes it seem more awkward than it already is.

"Well, I'm headed back to the house myself, I left Pikachu at home so I could take a midnight ride through the country. You're welcome to join me if you want! Though, you may have to ditch the prissy pink bike?"

Misty's face tenses up with her eyes adjusted to hypothetically strangle her best friend. She retorts back at him without even turning her head in his direction.

"This is ACTUALLY your-"

*BRRRRMMM BRRRMMMM* "Ah...I'M SORRY MISTY I CAN'T SEEM TO HEAR YOU?!" *Ash yelling over the sound of his bike being revved up to aggravate the poor girl*

Misty has finally had it with his change of personality and instead of wanting to knock him out senseless, she begins her first trial of the silent but stubborn treatment. Ash gets ready to shield his body from her crazy temper but Misty places her bag of goods in her basket mounting the bike for her travel back to the Ketchum residence. As she pedals onward, Ash slowly follows beside her, truly admitting his fault for riling her up. The ride home would take at least 5-7 minutes, but only a minute or so for Ash's drive. He would feel bad if he drove on home or even out in the country at this time of night with a girl all alone. Sure, Pallet was meant to be a safe town, but even the smallest towns have creepers. As they rode on, Misty began struggling with her bike, the pedaling became more forceful than before. She looked down and noticed her front tire slowly losing it's air. Unfortunately for her, she didn't have a spare or even an air pump, but even though she hated to admit it, she was glad that Ash was still there. He took notice of her trailing behind as she was no longer keeping up.

"Everything okay?"

"No! I have a flat tire!"

*Ash sweatdrops and stops his bike, looking back at her he asks* "Would you like a ride?"

"Are you kidding?! HECK NO!"

"But why? We're half way there and we can come back for the prissy bike in the morning?"

*Misty gets angry again but controls her outburst* "Because.....I don't trust YOU or that-...that THING!"

*snickering* "Ohhh...it's not bad. It's really fun, once you get used to it!"

"No WAY!"

"Are you suuuuuuure?"

*Misty knows at this point Ash's lure to get her on his bike is not only intimidating but his words and tone of voice is causing her stomach to leap. She really wants to trust Ash but she also remembers that he's not really the same person she grew up with. He's changed somehow. Misty makes up her mind and begins walking her bike in the direction of their destination. She doesn't want to give in or in other words, give him the upper hand!*

"C'mon! Misty! It'll be so much quicker if you just get on and we'll be there in NO TIME!"

*Her body language says "Stubborn Material" but her heart says "ADVENTURE"*

*Finally, Ash parks his bike in the middle of the country road dismounting his bike and aggressively pulling Misty away from her bike by her arms. Misty tries throwing a tantrum but Ash grabs the bag of goods in his free arm making his way back to his bike.*

"ASH!"

"Just get on! Will ya?!"

*Misty's face has fear written all over it but she doesn't argue with him anymore and gives in. After Ash remounts his bike, he tells her about the foot pedals as she's slowly mounting the bike. She grabs the bag of goods he previously laid on the ground for her to hold*

"Ash!? Where am I supposed to hold on?!"

"Uhh...I didn't think about that. *sweatdrop* "..I-I guess.....just hold on to me?"

*Misty isn't sure she heard right* "WHAT?! NO! Th-There has to be some handles on the side for me!"

"Honestly, I wasn't thinking about another person when I got this, so, I didn't buy the one with all the extras." *heh heh*

*Misty secretly thinking amazing and heart pounding emotions and on the contrary, is this a good idea?*

*Misty hesitantly reaching with her free hand to the back of his leather jacket, only pinching enough to say she's holding on*

"Alright, you got me?"

"Y-yeah..."

"No you don't." *Ash grabs both her arms from behind him tripping the bag of goods from her hands on to the ground and pulls her forward wrapping her arms low around his waist. Causing Misty's cheek to impact his back and her eyes shooting open widely*

"ASH!!!"

"Here we go!" *Ash grins and takes off leaving behind a bike and a bag of groceries*

*Misty's eyes clench shut as the wind whips through her hair, her legs and arms gripping the bike and her driver, and her body pressed tightly against his body. Misty is too busy to think about her feelings for the young man as she is holding on for dear life. Although it may seem to her everything is going fast, Ash is really driving a casual speed knowing full well this is her first time on a bike like this.*

"Open your eyes...it's not that bad."

*Misty lifts up one eyelid, making sure the motion doesn't cause her serious trauma...and finally the second.*

*She's captivated by how exhilarating her decision to accept his offer just became. Had she fought him on the pressure, she'd still be walking for a half mile. Misty lifts her head, adjusting her view of what Ash is seeing and taking in this moment as a sign of saving her. It's always been about saving Ash, but now, it's her turn. Even if the situation isn't in any way a harm. Ash glances around before noticing her in his side-view mirrors, his eyes alternating between the road and her expression. Happy to see she's not freaking out or hurling from motion sickness. Rather, appealed by the trust he's just gained from her. He isn't sure what it is yet but there's something about this moment, he is feeling very confident in himself.*
