Took 's advice, and tried adding shading to add depth. How does it look? I'm quite pleased with

If by 'traced' you mean the outline of the pokemon, yes I had to use an outline that people would recognise along with the colours.
It is my favourite recent concept at the moment, and I hope to continue to improve it in

What I originally meant though was how you did the splattering on totodile [link] where the blue color had some different shades, so it wouldnt look too bland
