well, technically speaking a good 95% of the android submissions are screenshots and not actual skins or themes.
this means that the majority of those screenshot submissions is miscategorized right now, because obviously they're neither a skin nor a theme.
so, as a matter of fact, your and every other android screenshot belongs to the gallery of Customization / Desktop Screenshots / Handhelds.
personally, i doubt that the rather few leftover android submissions that aren't actually a screenshot, would really justify the addition of an own android category in Skins & Themes.
but you're right, maybe it'd be nice to have an android section in the "handhelds" subcategory of "screenshots".

You know, I honestly didn't know there was a 'handheld' screenshot category. xD.
I really don't pay attention, most of the uploads I do are via mobile, and I can't
really tell what categories are well. My bad xD

that's okay. in fact it only proves that a centralized android screenshots category would really be quite useful.

I agree with your saying that the majority of android submissions are screenshots, but the difference is that the screenshots 8 out of ten include resource files for android applications such as launcherpro, in order to achieve the look represented screenshot. I'm not meaning to argue in anyway, just trying to help inform being that i have noticed you have become a "bigwig" (lol best choice of word, sorry) over the past five years I've been a member of da. But either way I will be happy to see a dedicated android section no matter the location of it

well, as per definition, the Skins & Themes gallery is meant for deviations that can actually be downloaded and used/applied in any kind of operating system, wheras screenshots are just images to somehow show off said skins and/or themes. so, in disregard to what those screenshots show, they're neither skins nor themes, but merely images, hence the own category of "desktop screenshots".

android screenshots are in no way different from the regular windows, linux or macintosh screenshots in this matter. of course they show a large portion of non-default "stuff" in them. some of them don't even resemble the OS they've been shot in anymore, but no matter how much skin/theme resources have been used to achieve those screenshots... in the end they're still just screenshots and they simply do not belong to anywhere in the Skins & Themes gallery.
those android deviations that are consistant of a downloadable zip file, in which the screenshot is meant to be the actual preview image for the files located in that zip, do of course belong in the "cell phone themes" category of Skins & Themes. thus far this would be the subcategory of "other brands", because as i said it in the comment to $Moonbeam13 's forum, i doubt that the amount of actual skins/themes in them would really justify the addition of an own "Android" subcategory there. besides, let's not forget that a significant amount of those downloadable/applicable android deviations (with launcher pro resources etc) are often tricky, when it comes to copyright matters.
i'm not saying that said android deviations which are not screenshots are in any way stolen or something, but in many cases they provide a variety of items from different resources, which then again i doubt would always be of legitimate content. (if viewed from the official dA perspective).
you know, i'm an adroid user myself and i browse the few android related groups here in search for some cool stuff to apply on my phone. that's why i can speak from personal experience, if saying that 95% of the android related deviations are "merely" screenshots.
so, in resume, i think that an "Android" subcategory would totally make sense, but i don't see this happening in the Skins & Themes gallery, but only in the "desktop screenshots". sorry.
