After a lot of Empire: Total War I wanted to draw some characters with 1700's vibes. Probably not very accurate, but this is just a one-off.

This picture reminds me of old Matthew Brady Civil War photos depicting camp life. The expressions on the characters faces shows that they've seen stuff they'd rather forget. I dig the uniforms, especially for the fox and the otters.Β

I love all those old photographs: very interesting stuff!
I think I like the fox & otters most out of the bunch as well. I didn't quite realize how much of a difference just a few extra details can do to make a character stand out better from the rest.
