Description My redesign of Feedback, in all of his troll-faced glory(which is pretty much the same as he was in Omniverse).

Initially, I was pretty neutral about this alien(especially since he was yet another electric alien); I liked his design, and think that it'd fit right at home in the original series, but his energy absorbing and electrical powers just felt like stuff we've seen before(not helped by his borderline "Deus-ex-Machina" treatment). However, when I saw this clip for "Showdown Pt. 1," I realized that they were pretty much implying that Ben was becoming addicted to Feedback(further supported by TV Tropes, with having "G-Rated Drug" in his tropes list). Unfortunately, they chickened-out of that before it could be explored further, as well as have Ben(somehow) re-unlock Feedback in Pt. 2.

So, basically, I changed it so that Feedback actually is addictive to Ben; plus, as he overuses this alien, it negatively effects his own overall health. I've also powered Feedback down a bit and limited him to absorbing only electricity(not universe-creating/destroying energy/devices).

Ben 10 belongs to Man of Action Studios and Cartoon Network.
Feedback belongs to Derrick J. Wyatt and Cartoon Network.

still, if your ben had to deal with a universe destroying energy/device, which alien would he use then?

Oh, I don't know, Atomix? Clockwork? Alien X? Anyone other than Feedback.

Atomix: MUST. HOLD. ENERGY. Okay, he may work, after all, he can generate energy, so it makes sort of sense.

Clockwork: Well, while Omniverse hasn't got the best Ben, clockwork could be able to reverse a chronosapien time bomb.

Alien X: As long Bellicus and Serena agreed on Ben about some age old question(5 bucks if it's the chicken or the egg for those floating heads), then motion denied for Maltrunt.

Okay, so Atomix and Alien X are the best options if he's going to dive in, Clockwork(sorry my chubby clock buddy) would be in case he stood in the spaceship and turn the key quickly.Β

Great pic of Feedback and great idea of putting the energy addiction aspect that you thought of in the description.

Thanks(seriously, talk about a wasted opportunity).

Do you think it's better if Ben unlocks him as a kid, or as a teenager?

You're welcome (Yeah)

Probably better as a kid, Young Ben is at the age where addictions aren't a concern, so theΒ revelationΒ that he has this type comes off as really surprising.

And thus, this only further cements that Energy-absorption is akin to a drug addict in the Ben 10 Universe ;;;

Heck, in my take, Conductoids know full well how dangerous their energy absorbing powers are and try to teach their kids about 'keeping energy intake to a bare minimum at first', meaning that young Conductoids aren't allowed to absorb too much energy at once as to build a gradual build so they can keep an even amount of energy in their system

however, Ben never got that training and absorbs a MASSIVE amount of power at a time, which is whati s the addicting aspect: The power is corrupting if you have too much.

Specifically, it corrupts the brain.Β

Wow! That sounds like something that could fit so perfectly well into the series!

Heck, the Conductoids are the alien DNA that Osmosions were based on in my take ;; As I toke you before, my version of Osmosions are a race closely related to Early humans but were experimented on centuries ago. They evolved and gained their own society on Osmov V, which was originally a lab planet ;;

The Conductoid DNA was fine tuned to the point that the energy absorbing genome in the DNA was able to sythesys with the early Osmosion's DNA. It mutated to how it is now: full on absorption ala Absorbing Man from Marvel and Rogue from X-Men.

So Conductoids were created by Osmosians in your version ?

Shadow-DJ In reply to Zigwolf [2015-09-12 22:17:16 +0000 UTC]

No no, other way around: An alien race used the Conductoid DNA to create the Osmosions. Specifically the Energy absorbing part of their DNA. This resulted in many of their powers.

the power evolved with the race, giving Osmosions the power to take a percentage of powers from more than one being. And the "coating material into armor"? It's just another extension, but takes a LOT more concentration as it's a smaller energy source. It's basically absorbing the Neutrons, electrons and protons on the material and mimicking it like how they can mimic another race when they absorb their powers, but it's more of a protective layer.

Oh I see now.

Shadow-DJ In reply to Zigwolf [2015-09-13 04:12:44 +0000 UTC]

Yeah ;; So in my take, Osmosions are only aliens by modern standards is because they have evolved a LOT since then.

Heck, in my take, Anodites and Anodyne itself were born out of Ledgerdomain, being born on what was just a asteroid in Charmcaster's home realm millions of years ago and the Anodites were born from the mana.

Thus, explanations for two VERY conterversial ideas in the franchise that Would have fit within the canon ;;;

Why the hell did I not think of that!?!?

Shadow-DJ In reply to Holycrap1992 [2015-09-11 20:16:32 +0000 UTC]

I am thinking that the DNA that was used to test on my take of Osmosions were Conductoid, but very concentrated to the point that the only thing similar about them is their energy absorbing powers. THAT is all that is similar

The creatures are also very well built for aliens Being a good mix of speed and strength, becoming a fairly even body type. But as I said, the energy absobing part was the addicting aspect of the alien. ;;;

... You've somehow managed to take the weak-as-hell ass-pull excuse(made for the sole purpose of absolving Kevin of his wrongdoings in the original series) and turned it into an explanation that actually makes sense... I commend you, good sir.

Indeed... though, obviously, they aren't super-ultra-strong or super-lighting-fast.

Heck, the reasoning behind the powers making go nuts DOES make sense. Woukd any, ANY ,mentally sound kid Woukd act in any way like Kevin? And honestly, I was more thinking it gave Kevin a reason to try and get better ;;

Exactly. They're akin to Spider Man in the physical sense: an even blend of speed and strength
