I believe the AA you do is a bit too fat. It needs very little of it IMO.
The HK G36 and the COOP thing are the best guns here. I also dig the FAMAS and other bullpup thing. (they don't belong in this lineup because they're in a different style, they're more cartoonish/flashgame oriented, so they're fine with the fat lines)
The UZIish thing has the magazine in a too bright-yellow color. Lower the saturation. The desert gun doesn't fare well with the black background. The sand colour contrasts too much with the black and that kind of divides the dark parts from the sandish parts. Try to keep it closer in terms of color brightness.

But you're very right about everything, I completely agree. Look at my newer stuff, I've improved a lot.

Indeed you have, but there's a lot more to improve (although that can be said about pretty much everyone). :]
I advise you to try AA, but only with very limited amount of extra colours and just enough, not too much - really enhances some stuff.
