The lights in the background are Exmouth, Western Australia. It is almost at the end of the world. I was told that the Emu looking feature in the dark part Milky Way is an Aboriginal asterism. The head of the bird is the Coal Sack and the body and feathers extend down.The sky was eye popping and mind blowing. I saw the Southern Cross for the first time!

yes, i was there for 9 days. it was amazing, i loved it. the isolation, beautiful beaches and ocean were worth the hellish flight form the US!

i like them, they're good people - very polite, friendly, and accomodating. you can see the british influence with their humor, they play on the meaning of words. they have gusto.
