Another Elder Futhark Runeset I made. This one using pink abalone shells. The symbols were engraved, painted, and then varnished for durability.

Elder Futhark runes are the oldest form of the runic alphabet. Used between the 2nd and 8th century, they were widely used among traders as an alphabet. They were eventually adopted into a form of divination, and still widely used today in that way, especially among pagans.

Basically, they were tarot cards before tarot cards were tarot cards.
