Sylvanie happened upon a strawberry patch just outside of the Everfree forest. The berries were so plump and ripe that she just couldn't help but eat as many as she could, scarfing down hoof fulls of them. She was so engrossed in her snack that she never heard the creak of leathery wings or the sound of hooves landing behind her.Not until she felt the tap on her withers.
"That'll be 30 bits, please." said the bat pony dryly. Chiro was surprised to see the wildling unicorn demolishing his prized crop. A pony has to make a living after all.
Sylvanie squeaked in surprise and turned, cheeks stuffed with berries like a chipmunk. She looked at the large bat pony with his cocoa colored spotted coat, short mane the color of his berries and brilliant orange eyes, the color of a fall sunset. He was rather handsome, even though he did have some scary looking fangs.
"I have no money..." she began after she swallowed, bringing a frown to Chiro's face.
"Looks like you have a job, then" the bat pony said quickly, eyeing the pretty wildling with the light cornflower blue coat. "I need someone to run my booth at the Ponyville farmer's market while I finish with the harvest. You'll do."
"No! I won't do it, I have...my own things to do."
"Oh? You won't?" he said, narrowing his eyes and looking rather sinister. "Fine. Pay up or I'll have you arrested for theft. I caught you in the act of stealing my crop."
"A-arrested. " Sylvanie repeated. Jail sounded horrible from what she'd heard. Running a booth at the farmer's market sounded easier and much less frightening. "I think i can run your booth, Mister"
"Chiroptera."
"That means bat." Sylvanie said, trying not to laugh.
"I know. My parents thought it was a great joke." he rolled his eyes. "uh Yeah. Just call me Chiro."
"I'm Sylvanie, nice to meet you Chiro. "
"Part of your name means forest."

So began a beautiful friendship.
I'm trying to work through my block. I'm not sure this is any good, but I liked it enough to post.
I think i have a color scheme in mind for Sylvanie.
Chiro (formally Chirp) my strawberry farming half draft bat pony is one of those keepers. I like him and i gave him a hair cut.

Nothing really. this was a sorta on the fly thing. Most of the time, if I'm not feeling it- i just don't get the story idea down. this one came fast and easy. maybe it was because I got off work early and had little to do.
