Description I've heard that the mechanics for this game were unfortunately kind of clunky and repetitive, but damn Nilin's character and this story was amazing.

Talk about an awesome female character!

See, when trying to write "strong female characters" most people simply redefine the stereotype from being painfully "feminine" to being painfully "masculine." Instead of constantly wallowing in a constant state of unrealistic emotion and being blamed for everything the character is put onto a pedestal and not allowed to feel anything. It's quite disheartening as it makes the character not only static but it achieves the same level of unrealisticness that makes the character just as unlikable and unable to empathize with.

Nilin, however, wasn't like that. She was allowed to be human, make mistakes, be clever, be stupid, have emotional reactions but keep her composure, be blamed for her wrongdoings but also have the support and forgiveness of others. Plus, no fanservice! She was completely practical and her actions and fighting style reflected her personality and frame of thinking.
Plus, she was biracial and not just another stock white male/female or a poc that was portrayed as exotic and inherently sexual! How awesome is that?

I'd say she was close to Elizabeth Comstock standards, in my humble opinion

She's really pretty. And I adore the shading on her.
