It had to be done after finally getting around to playing the game XDI enjoy the straightforward linearity of it; everything else I typically play is already open sandbox in feel so quick, one track stages are refreshing to play with. The stages themselves were quite gorgeously done, especially the Starlight Carnival and Aquarium Park levels ~
Now I know with the hands-on experience why this is considered a step up for Sonic. I hope they keep the game engine this way for a while <33
(Incidentally, I couldn't bring myself to finish Sonic Unleashed cause the story dragged on a bit too long to my taste plus Werehog levels were bad at times. I didn't bother picking up after story mode with Zero Gravity. And I'm still mad at SEGA for the contest concerning the Black Knight game lol
Last game I recall finishing diligently before Colors was Sonic Rush Adventure. So now I'll be hung up getting them red rings and S rankings)

I remember both Colors and Adventure. I loved those games.

Flashy, colorful, and with plenty to enjoy, much like the game that inspired it.
Really liking this group shot, Sonic himself looks confident and upbeat as he always does, and I the wisps look great huddled together in the lead like that (what, no Burst or Void? XD) The simple background looks nice too, reminiscent of Starlight Carnival Zone, and the little chains were a nice touch. I like how you snuck your sig into the grid, too

That looks incredibly original for a Sonic Colors piece. XD Most of them just depict Sonic in space with the Wisps, but you took it in a different direction and it looks great! Nice work! ^^

Yeah, really love the colors there. Out of the few Sonic Colors fan-art I've seen this one strikes me as the best just for all those elaborated and colorful objects alone.
Funnily, before Colors the last Sonic game I've purchased was Sonic Rush Adventure too. I didn't had a chance to try the games in-between though, I just watched them on YouTube instead.

I just rented this game and so far, it looks impressive! I love the backgrounds. I end up not paying attention to where Sonic is headed anymore because the backgrounds are just so mesmerizing. You managed to capture the feel of it in this fanart.
The cutscenes are a little bad though. I hope that future Sonic games pick up on that.
Also, I'm not a veteran Sonic player...and so I end up finishing each stage with zero rings lol

Cutscenes are cool enough. Sonic talks like he should: brash like he was made to be. Besides there's more to be done than watching idle chit chat in good Sonic games XD
They've also done a lot to make sure this game sold to both older fans and the younger generation of fans. It's colorful. It's contagiously speedy. It's given me earworms to hear more of the wonderfully put together music. I'm personally itching to hear more on the all-new voice cast since most of them have done notably good jobs in the roles they've been given and I know how they would talk.
IMO, best next gen game in all the years I've been following Sonic

I love the BG! Its very shiny and detailed. The characters look a little marshamllow-y XD But it creates a nice style that offsets the solidness of the BG well done~
