I've never been very comfortable with pen and ink, but always thought that good pen and ink pieces are stunning. so I play around with it and various shading techniques sometimes. Like stippling. Who the heck would think that stippling works? but it does. in a way. I try to challenge myself to use techniques that I am uncomfortable with, until i can use them without panic-ing.
