Looks pretty tame in 2D, but there's a real "whoaaa!" moment close up in stereo.

A bit of an experiment. This is a VR180 SBS image. At one point the Oculus Quest browser was able to show it in VR mode - select expand to get into VR mode then VR180 and 3D side by side formats. Unfortunately at present the Oculus browser can no longer display stereo images. Which is very strange. Maybe they'll fix it, but the browser is really just a warmed over Chrome browser and I think Oculus can't keep up. Shows how the company has lost its edge under Meta's control. The image can still be viewed on an Oculus Quest by downloading it to the device, viewing the file using the "TV" application and changing from 2D to 180 3D.

The trouble is that these images were rendered at 2048x2048x2 and it isn't enough. When the blender boys turbocharged their renderers they massively increased the memory requirements. My old 8Gb rig can't really render at the resolutions required. The other problem is that the human brain seems to be even better at spotting fakery in stereo and the quality of the shaders needs to go up again. Working on it, I'll see if this gets any interest.
