The third design was the one that settled the parents; Starlight Glimmer and Trixie, I don't remember much about this design, but his personality was probably really close to being Jekyll (musical version), because that's how the story was placed, with a potion.

I remember I posted a Status mentioning that I saw an AU with J&H and I really liked the idea and I decided to use that on my characters, that's basically how they swapped. (the one where Jekyll is a grumpy scientist and Hyde is a Polite Snob; if you read Moonlight's evolution).

IDK what changed in this design, but I know that something did.apart from the mane of course.

On this design, the story of how Spellbinder got Corrupted was changed.” someone” offered a scarf with a red “brooch” and he slowly got corrupted. then he becomes Twilight Secretary (in order for Twilight To keep a Close Eye on him).he tries to get rid of the spell lock he has under him (he can't use anything other than levitation), and accidentally separates his evil side and the last remaining part of goodness he has, creating Moonlight Shine.

This design was done by @TrueshiningFox and it was the winner of a small contest I held.

The "final design" (Lies XD), just darkened the coat, gave him new clothes, sideburns and a new body type (a bigger one), I was pleased with this design for a while.

since I got better at dolling I Gave him new clothes and gave him a top hat.

some months later this design didn't felt like "Moonlight's Evil side" so I redesigned him, complete with a new name (to see the full analysis of this design please read his bio Nocturnal Nights )

The first body I gave him looked unnatural so I fused the shadow pony and Grogar's bodies to create something that suited my character best.

(Newest design) SO!: I got this Idea to make Nocturnal a "Non-pony" (although he's technically still part Unicorn) because that's what Moonlight doesn't want to be seen as; a Pony raised by Hyppogriffs/hippocampi doesent exactly forbode well with the Canterlot Elite so they sometimes see him as not a full pony. and that's reflected in Nocturnal, although he isn't part Hyppogriff, he's part storm creature and Part ram, two things that ponies, especially "the Elite" disdain most.
