Description Here is the first look at the world at two angles!
I had to en-size the first perspective so it was visible. ;w;

First Angle:

Frostback mountains to the East.

Alphapin forest/jungles to the south.

Red sands Dessert to the West.

Unknown land to the North.

And the Giants city located in the middle.

Everything is pretty accessible from all angles, so long
as you start from the city it should be a straight shot. =w=
But keep in mind that everything in this world is in size comparison, giant to us all,
so country crossing will be a long one if you so deiced to walk anywhere.
Best bet is to hitch a ride with a giant without them noticing you....Trust me,
better for you're health if they don't know you're there. ;w;

Birds view:

Same angle applies to the ones above.
But this perspective just really shows you where the
area's are truly centered and that it won't be to confusing.

Map outlay of Melonis belongs to me! (c)

Enjoy peeps! more to come. :Y

So is this world flat or something?

For the open area on the map not entirely, it may look like it but if you
were on ground level the ground would uneven with hills and dips. Its just easier to make the map
look flat. Oh yes, the other areas on the map are totally different from the open filed area as well, but you
probably already guessed that by the way they look.

Oh. I kind of meant if the world was flat instead of round, but I think that's my answer there. Thanks.

Looks pretty awesome for the first try
I can throw in some suggestions if you want and share some of my ideas since I'm also worldbuilding in my own story. Maybe you've already put it or not, but is there a river? Or just a water resource? Water is extremly important for villages or cities. Or some trade routes or Commerce cities. Economy brings people and civilisation together . It may be boring, but business brings people and cultures together and builds up relationship between people, whatever race it is.... however it doesn't have to be good everytime and it can bring up a lot of corruption and death as our own history already showed a lot.
However I really enjoy doing those kinds of worldbuilding because you don't have to include them in your story, but it can be mentioned from time to time and have an influence on the characters life and you can build good stories 'round them X3.

So yeeah, I hope it didn't bother you that I threw in some of my thoughts <__>;;. But I really look forward to see your worldbuilding on Melonis

Thank you so much for that info!

And no~ There is no River on the surface or oceans.
Just some small lake pockets here and there, like by the farm lands. ;v;
The city has an under ground water system, so finding alternate water resources
aren't needed. :3   Also, the dessert tribe has a large oasis lake beside them, so
their all good. :V

Ooooh~ Business relations and trade routes, Epic! I shall
make a caravan for the Red sands tribe and maybe the Frostback people,
once I get them up and running. The traders and diplomatic relations will be mentioned every now and again,
for it's a great suggestion. :L

And not at all! This really helps stranger my Image on the world
and how I want everything to work!! X3

And I look forwards to your own world-building! for it will be jaw dropping,
I'm sure of it!!! OUO

Ahhh this is all interesting to read >wD. I gotta do more research on those though
I really enjoy doing those business relations between cultures or races. And it doesn't even have to be directly business. For example in my story, Fudo owns an incredibly huuuuge territory in the Forest. So big that he territory even inclueds the giant sized forest and the human sized forest. Normally humans don't build villages in a Giant's territory, that would be crazy!! However it is different in Fudo region. Fudo isn't the nicest Giant though, he kills most humans who sneak into his house, but luckily he doesn't harm human villages. However due to a incident which happend a few decades ago in my story, it happened a kind of symbiosis between him and the humans. So some humans build villages inside of his territory and once every month those villages offer him a gift as thanks to let them live in his territory. Cigars and tobacco Uhh.... Sorry for the rambling though, I just wanted to share an idea ;w;~

And thanks! My world-building will be a bit hard though ;w;, since I will try to build two completly different worlds. The first one is the human world where Sachi and Yuki live. It's an isolated world which is trapped in kind of a sphere. Humans don't know what is outside (and for some weird reason don't really care). A world almost as ours. Corrupted, lots of war, dirty, pretty much no nature, steampunk-like and just full of pollution and poison. Humans really don't bother 'bout the pollution though 8D. People like Sachi are a new generation of being more resistant against poison and pollution, kind of a mutation =w=;. HOWEVER, the world where Kenji and Yaten live is outside of that sphere. Something like a fantasy world, which is actually the real world XDD (which is soooo contradictory kind of XD). But yeeah, it's darn complicated to build those worlds and I have my times where I just want to give up OTL, but still it's so friggin fun to do those researches about other cultures and get inspired by it X3.

hopful4autobots In reply to kuberish [2015-04-20 02:09:49 +0000 UTC]

Yeha it should be good and I figured underground
water system's would be easier since, it's just basically
drawing water from deep wells. OvO

Oh goodness, Mister Fudo sounds so funny! XD
All those descriptions about him being a terror  and
intimdating the locals that live in his territory is just the best!
And the Tabasco and cigars offering~pfftt,  I can relate
to not wanting to be around when he comes a collecting. ...
especially if he sometimes take them with him. ;=;

And your not rambling!  This is good stuff,  and I love
reading about it all!!! OwO

A world within another world?  Epic!!
It reminds of Terra Nova,  except with gaints and their
not going back in time to escape the pollution. ..can't
believe they live in the stuff and are not bothered by it, eww!
And Sachi? She lives in the sphere!?  Nice! I wonder
how she got to their world though, the gaints world that is. OwO

These are amazing idea's you've come up with! So much
excitement and interesting insight, tis a jack pot of gold!
And I can relate with the whole complications about
designing something so detailed and precise.  takes forever~ ; 3;
But I'm glad you find the ressearch process fun!
And good thing it keeps you motivated to, otherwise
you'd probably be more frustrated then ever! OwO
