Shepard had only taken one good ID photo in her entire life. It had been about three months after her graduation from N7, and only a week after she found out about her assignment to the Normandy. Anderson thought it made her look approachable and serious at the same time, just what an Alliance Commander needed to be. Shepard said it looked like she was laughing at whoever took the picture.

Not that she wasn't, but that wasn't supposed to be her image.

Really just wanted to sit down and draw Shepard--head on, no funny angles or extreme expressions, and really set her looks down in stone. She still has kind of almond-y green eyes, short red hair, tiny nose, and thin lips, but now I have a solid reference. Yey.
