Description I've made this skin to work along with bblean, inspired by ahoka , masood and few other desktops.

Installation:

  • install cure.fon font from artwiz font pack

  • put "foo_cad.dll" file from here to your "foobar2000components" folder

  • install ".rmskin"

  • restart rainmeter/foobar

* "now playing" works only with foobar player.

Excellent, but you could do it using bbinterface and thus avoid using a non-Blackbox app like Rainmeter

So ive had artwiz's font pack for a while now.
I'd like to use lime honestly, but cure is good too. Firstly, is there anyway I could use lime? You said rainmeter only supports true type but isnt cure a bitmap font? Anyways, cure isn't display for me and it looks like calibri or something. Watdo?

I haven't used rainmeter for a while, but I'll try to help you...

1st, yeah rainmeter supports only true type ttf fonts. But I believe when I've used it few years ago I've used bitmap fonts with it as well. Therefore there is a possibility, that there were support for bitmap fonts in versions like 2.4 or earlier, but I'm not quite sure about it. You can try to rollback rainmeter to something like 2.4 and try to use lime font with it, or you can try to convert lime to truetype.

2nd, like you said, after instalation it displays some default font but not cure. I was able to change it to cure with truetype cure.se font - goput.it/g4zd.png , here's font - www.mediafire.com/download/w6h… . So if you still want to use cure font with it you need to change font to cure.se and both height values to "9" like I've showed on the screen.

Seriously, thanks mate. I know nothing about about converting fonts. I tried and failed many times. Appreciate it though.

I tried editing the FontName to HaxrCorp_S8, however the cure font was still there. What do I have to do to change the font of the skin?

Rainmeter currently supports only truetype ttf fonts, since S8 is bitmap - it wouldn't work. docs.rainmeter.net/tips/fonts-…

You can use haxrcorpttf, which is pretty much same as S8,
www.mediafire.com/download/ijv…

After you install font, in config set "FontName=haxrcorpttf" also change all "FontHeight" to something like "11" or "12".

is there a chance you can make a .dll for Aimp3 player?

hora-hora In reply to Gaiaonlinehd [2013-07-06 08:55:50 +0000 UTC]

Yup, you need to replace "PlayerName" to "AIMP". Same for "Substitute".
They are located at [mPlayer] in bb_bar.ini.

Or just download edited config [link] and replace original bb_bar.ini with it. Default location -
C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\bb_bar

I've tested it with Aimp 3.20 Build 1165.

Forgot to add, Aimp doesn't require any additional dll's, it works with default "nowplaying.dll" which comes with rainmeter.

You got any other pictures of implementation? I love it but I guess I'm looking at placing it wrong. Great job though!

1st make sure to install "cure" font. It seems like download link in description is no longer available so i'll update.
Get artwiz fontpack from here [link] and install cure font from it.
After that your skin should look like same, as in preview.

Just in case, if you aligning this skin with your bblean you should use same font and fontsize for your bblean toolbar.

You can also look at the skin code and edit it for your needs, it is really simple In it search for placement on X and Y axis which represent position on height and width for certain elements.
