No story this time. Mr Giannis is a story himself.I went photo hunting last weekend and I met this amazing man.
We talked for about half an hour. What a personality.
He is from Belgium. At 24 he left and he is flying since then like a free bird.
His shirt says
I hope for nothing.
I am scared of nothing.
Beacause I am free.

I will visit him again.
Maybe I'll post some more pics of him.

This is so cool! Shows so much charakter of this man! The black and white fits so perfect! I love the folds in his face - they show so much live-experience and the beard...must be a really interessting person!

Who could not deny the beauty and warmth in that smile. Amazing, reminds me that the recent passing of my best friend still has its reverberations of reminders of the beauty of life. Such warmth, I hope you cherish this, and perhaps it can be spread enough for others to cherish as well.

His eyes alone twinkle with a life that I can only hope to match when I am his age.
And his face...that is the face of a man who has seen more and done more than many of us can ever hope to.
He reminds me of my grandfather. He never grew old, and Mr. Giannis seems to have followed suit.

Incredible. Dad always said a face like that is a sign of living, yet so many seem to be afraid of it, all over the place there's "age defying" this and "skin tightening" that, but frankly, I say, Bring it on, afterall, my grandmother is living proof of that

There are this old homeless guy living close to my place.
He looks a lot like Mr. Giannis. He's from Lithuania, and we talk a lot too.

I adore weathered, lined faces. As you have said, the portrait tells the story itself. The more lines around the eyes means that (to me) have had alot to smile about and have always had the sun shining on them and had to squint to keep the light from blinding them. The lines on the forhead to me show that they have had much sorrow and worry. This is an amazing portrait and it most certainly deserved every ounce of the DD award. Congratulations, and keep up the excellent work!
