So, I've been wanting to draw this picture for a while now and I finally got around to it on Saturday. I didn't scan it until today because I was on my laptop all weekend, not my main computer in my bedroom...sooo yeah, here we are.
I really like this. Despite all the black, which I hate colouring, this was a blast to do. Kaelin was, and is, obviously the focus of the picture, considering he's the one that gets to be right side up, and he sticks out like a sore thumb compared to Venus, who is all black.
They're both assassins, they work with each other, they're a couple (Mr. and Mrs. Smith, much?), and she looks a bit masculine because of the suit, but I'm working on a picture of just her right now that depicts the exact opposite. It's kinky.
I think I'm getting better at drawing more often now. I'm happy ^-^ and very pleased.
I REALLY like how the guns came out. Except that her gun molds in with all the black on her suit. I was working off a reference that was black and forgot that HER .45 was silver. oy. I love how the poses came out, and how their hair is coloured. I changed my colouring style for the hair for this picture, I like it, it's shiney.
Even though the scan doesn't do it justice, I like the detail I put into Kaelin's boot.
