Description For #blackhistorymonth2023 I wanted to do something a little different, so I decided to honor the first African American female singer to make a vocal blues recording along with her band, The Hounds. If you like (or love in my case) The Blues and Jazz and would like to hear a wonderful piece of history that you may not have experienced before, I highly recommend looking up this wonderful performer from the 1920's.
