Description Next up for feathered dragons is Xiuhcoatl (Zi-uh-coatl)!
The name translates to Turquoise Serpent and Xiuhcoatl is the spirit form of Xiuhtecuhtli , the Aztec god of fire.

I had far less to work with in terms of references for this guy and was only limited to two:

Colouring was mostly made up. But since Xiuhcoatl's name translates to Turquoise Serpent I figured it was only fitting to make his scales turquoise in colour with red feathers, nose horn, and tail.

Bio:
Xiuhcoatl is one of the smallest feathered, serpentine dragons of North America.

Xiuhcoatl's nose horn will only turn red if the dragon feels threatened. When they are relaxed the horn is the same colour as the rest of it's scales. The horn is not usually used as a weapon but is used to attract females which have slightly smaller, less curled horns.
The horns behind the eyes seem to serve no known purpose, though it is thought that they are left over from an ancestor which may have had much larger horns.

The bony sections of the tail of Xiuhcoatl can be knocked together to make noise but can also be used as a powerful club if need be to ward off predators and attackers.

Since Xiuhcoatl's eyes are on the side of it's head they have very little binocular vision. So they are ambush hunters and use their small arms to help them climb trees and hold down small prey. Like a snake Xiuhcoatl's fangs are retractable but they do not possess venom. They are also one of the only feathered dragons to still possess the ability to breath fire, though only in short bursts.
