He died while trying to dispose of the children. Shortly after, John found out that Pj killed the kids, and locked him up. He remained in the safe room from fnaf 1 until Fnaf 3. Then, when the company was bought, Fazbear fright was opened. John got a job as a night guard, which Springtrap wasn't happy about. Though, he still considered John a friend. He wanted to trap John with him, 1, so they would be together,2 , so he could make John pay for trapping him for 20 years. Springtrap eventually decided to burn the place, in attempt to end it all, though he failed.
