Description  Moyelluh-tylix. Firebird. Also called sentry bird, lookout bird, and sentinel bird. These birds are often the first birds to return to forests after a fire. Territorial, they call when anything gets too near their nesting area.

Call:Twee. Twee-wee-twee.Wee-twee. Wee-twee. Wee-twee.

They are found in the Shash Galaxy--most notably on the star-city Ento Kom, in a section of the artificial biosphere called Emora.

Hi! I come from
Your piece really caught my attention! The colour combination of the sky, forest and bird go so well together. The orange feathers make the bird really stand out! This bird looks almost real, you even made the feather slightly visible and I love the color combination. It slightly reminds me of the Altamira Oriole bird, which is super cool. I especially like the longer, sharp beak. I imagine they use it for defending their territory kind of? Or maybe for opening nuts if that is what they eat. The eye looks also pretty interesting. The color matches the bird perfectly! One thing I am not sure of is where they live. Do they live in a normal forest or in a rainforest? If they live in a normal forest, the colour combination would seem too bright in my opinion. With those bright colours, predators would be able to spot them easily? But that is just what I think and maybe I have got it all wrong
Anyway, back to the art piece. I really like the scenery you created. It looks pretty realistic and I like that you used more than one colour for the sky. One thing I am not sure of, is the branch the bird is sitting on. It looks great, but it is the only thing above the tree tops, making it kind of unrealistic? Does that make sense? Because if there were other branches sticking out of the trees to the sky, it would seem more natural than only this one (as we cannot see any other for kilometres in the distance). But at the same time, it makes the bird stand out pretty well, just not too realistically.
Overall, I believe your piece is very beautiful and you should keep up the great work! The details I pointed out were only minor and they do not affect the overall picture's beauty.

Thank you for the feedback!

Yes, I agree the tree is kind of lonely. I made this for a contest and had planned to add more tree branches in the foreground but ran out of time.
Since you asked, here's a bit more about the Moyelluh-Tylix: They are carnivorous and will eat anything that moves from insects to rodents. They live in temperate forests (artificially created by an advanced alien race) and have no natural predators, so their flashy color is used to keep other M-ts out of their territory.
I referenced a picture of an Indian Roller Bird to get a general idea of how I wanted the bird's anatomy to look, but that Altimira Oriole is a pretty cool looking bird too

I'm glad you like the sky. I think skies are so fun to create!

Hello!! That is absolutely stunning <3 I decided to try and spot out your strengths and weaknesses on the picture, though keep in mind I am not nearly as talented as you so, keep with your own advice and maybe regard mine as a friendly gesture! Anyways By firstly seeing the art it's magnificent you completely nailed presentation at first glance no person would be able to see something wrong with it, So your strengths would be Coloring, Shading, and Vision. Your weakness which takes a much deeper look would be the anatomy of the bird still very talented yes, But head is a tad bit small for the body and the neck is slim the wing seems too small as well, To carry such a bird it'd have to have bigger wings. But again don't be insulted this is merely some feedback and if you don't agree, then that's fine! I'm not in  your league anyway so it's perfectly fine!

Awesome! Thanks for pointing out the anatomy--this is my first attempt at a semi-realistic birds, so I'm glad I got it close to right

I see how much passion you have for this bird! work a bit more on proportions and it would look incredibly real!
This is amazing!
