Giftart for my friend =Nanuka of her Trei-Klaw character, Abydos ! The race and character are not mine! X3 I just enjoy the character design, and I thought it'd be good practice for trying a BG again lol. I'm not super happy with it but eh. X3Hope you enjoy 'Nuka! :3

I just love Abydos' design X3 I love the purple--it's not something you'd really expect in a dinosaur-like character. It's really a shame what happened and still continues to happen with all the drama about your and Nanuka's separate species. At first glance they are quite similar, but there are still very distinct differences between them. Either way, it's lovely to see another drawing of Abydos in your style after so many years

Ok, thats it, HOW THE HELL DO U DO THIS? Secret diet of some sort that u are on? How do u make faces so damn pretty? Great job on the shading once again, but I cant stop staring, its pretty! Is it years of skill? Honestly I gotta tell you the background does it justice, even though u say u arent super happy with it, I quite like how it came out because u have used the DOF technique, Depth of Field, as it blurs out more in the background, I love how you have the subtle mist everywhere especially more on the top most of the picture, as its where the waterfall, falls. (waterfall falls.. hmm thats a nice name for a place.. TRADE MARK!)
U've done a great job encasing the character into the environment by including the use of mist and that bird.. HA looks bad ass! It looks like it's ready to tear someones eyes out.
Again, im always jealous of ur ability to portray pretty faces and most of all ur colour selection. You've got a colour palette that makes other people's colour palette look gray scale..

And yea, the bird was challenging, in a sense. xD I couldn't have done so well if not for your ref sheet lol. I was too lazy to look up ref for the animal sooo I sorta just wung it, I'm glad it looks ok~! XD
And I'm glad her hair makes you happy XD! I'm just happy overall you enjoyed it so much. XD Cuz I really spent a while on it haha. So it means a lot!

Yaaay you should draw more Aby! Dag was sayin how she hopes you draw more Aby (and I hope so too haha). I say if you're inspired for it go for it. XD But acourse I know what it's like to kinda have a "schedule" order or things haha. That's what I did on mine too lol. But anyway, as for drawing the pic it was no trouble at all! XD I did the BG just for more experimentation really. And to help fill in blank space. lols
