Description The original picture was taken in a cat-shelter. Its a gorgeous organisation but the light setting is really horrible and you have to invent a lot to get good pictures. Everyone who ever tried to get a good cat-shoot knows how hard it is. After the shooting I watched my pictures and then I became sad: A great pose under hard conditions and then the little tail was missing I was so angry I could not sleep. So I stayed up all night by thinking and trying and then the idea: Why not painting the tail
I really love CG...
So I was able to restore the picture and IΒ΄m really happy with the result

You really did a great job by painting his little tail. Can you explain me what is CG? Another question, how you get always your photo so clear and sharped when you have poor light. I have a really big problem with my ferrets photos, because the poor light too. It seems also my focus is always bad for exemple : [link] I have read all your tutorials. I too use a Baustrahler too. Love your work

CG is Computer generated or computer graphics ...
I use an "unsharpened-mask" filter to sharpen my pictures after the resize.
For Web resolution use a radius between 0.4 and 0.7 and strong 10-250 %

Wow, congrats! It's very impressive that you were able to do the tail yourself. I'm a painter/drawer with little knowledge of photography. I didn't realize how much editing went into making such a great picture- You have a lot of skill.

so cute ^^ I think painting the tail in worked out very well, it's slightly blurry giving the over-all image depth.

thats excellent, i saw the bigger photo of the final picture first and I thought you had got the cat on that background and caught it stretching and I would never haave guessed that you put the tail in, it looks too real.

That's a great job!! You can't even tell that the tail was painted in.

How did you decide to change the background, color exchange?

hoschie In reply to 013926 [2007-11-28 17:48:49 +0000 UTC]

Danke

Hi there!
adorable shot and great idea! the tail looks blacker, more solid than the rest of the kitty, why don't you color pick some tones from his body and integrate them to the 'tail'?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

hoschie In reply to faerywitch [2007-12-03 22:44:22 +0000 UTC]

Thanks

I pick the color from the start of the tail and it was so dark. I think it is brighter in the end of the tail. and the end of the tail will be sharper...

I will do it in the next pictures
