one peeve i have about animal artists (warrior cats, wolf comics, etc) is when they draw dome dens

disclaimer i get that some of you are beginners and don't know any better, that's what i made this for!!

the only acceptable use of a dome den is when it's in a dirt mound, like the last example i gave. but try to avoid a smooth interior, add some roots to the roof and uneven dirt spots, anything that you think would make it look natural!

dens can also be;

- a hollowed out log
- a man made structure (a barrel, empty crate, underneath a house, etc)
- a thick brush
- anything an animal can fit inside!

and remember, it's okay to be terrible at first, we all were at one point. just don't compare yourself to other artists, and USE REFERENCES
