does he have that red color?, or did you add that as part of the shadows...

He actually has the Red color in his face, but the pastels limit the palette because I have this huge set, but the colors are not really very dark enough. I have tried drawing this same Eagle a number of times, and I'm still not satisfied. He probably has to be done in Oils to get all the colors and shades really accurate. He is not a huge eagle, but he is quite beautiful with the red face, colorful beak, and Chestnut Brown and blue grey feather. ...Thank you Chris...
