The secret to painting a good transparent water color is to start out with you lightest, palest colors, and to leave plenty of white for high lights. I will do a tutorial on painting cats, and on painting flowers. When I paint in Gouache on Illustration board I start out with a thin wash of a medium tone color, and then work up to the lights and down to the darks. Each type of paint and style of painting has a different approach, and a different method of applying the paint. I will try to do a tutorial on painting fur in the future.
